DON'T LET TOTALENERGIES HIDE ITS FOSSIL CRIMES

3 hours 37 minutes. That's how long it takes the fossil fuel industry collectively to fill a stadium like the Stade de France with oil, which is almost 7 stadiums every single day. This also happens to be where the Rugby World Cup 2023 is taking place.

The link between the two? TotalEnergies, one of the largest fossil fuel companies in the world, is one of the official sponsors of the Rugby World Cup in France. By pumping money into a global sporting event, Total is hoping we won’t notice the catastrophic damage that fossil fuel companies are causing to the lives of everyone on the planet.

Total is playing a dirty game and hoping the honourable qualities associated with rugby like integrity and respect will rub off on its tarnished brand. Yet the fossil fuel industry is making more money than ever before, even as heatwaves and wildfires threaten people’s homes, businesses and even their lives.

Fossil fuel companies are responsible for countless crimes against the environment and humanity, all just to keep the oil flowing. Together, let’s tackle the fossil fuel industry and kick them off the field: share the video and sign the petition.

182,125 people want to put an end to these fossil crimes. Help us reach 200,000.

SIGN THE PETITION

We demand that fossil fuel companies must:

  • Stop their climate wrecking activities including their involvement in new fossil fuel projects.
  • Admit and apologise for their crimes.
  • Repair and pay for the damage they have caused

Thanks for standing up to fossil fuel companies

As more and more people speak out, it will be harder for them to hide their climate crimes by sponsoring huge events like the Rugby World Cup. That’s why we need everyone to add their name – share the petition with your friends and family.
